MIDLAND, Texas - Frank Lee Glaze, 84, of Midland, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007, at his residence.
He was born on November 13, 1922 in Winters, Texas, to William Lee Glaze and Allie Smith Glaze. He married Marjorie Vanderhoff on March 18, 1950, in Denton. Frank received a Bachelor's of science degree from Texas Western College in El Paso. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He had worked as a geologist for Rotary Engineering and Tidewater Oil Company in Midland, Austral Oil Company in Houston, and Murphey Petroleum in Denver.
He worked as an independent geologist in Midland since 1962 and retired in 1988. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Midland. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Glaze of Midland; daughter, Susan King of El Paso; daughter, Cindy (Van Tom) Whatley of Bandera; three grandchildren, a great-grandson and his caretaker.

SAN DIEGO, Texas - Raul Rivera Sr., 69, died Monday, June 25, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital following a long illness.
He was a retired cook. He was born to Reynaldo and Elvira Sanchez Rivera on July 24, 1937 in Benavides, Texas.
Survivors include six daughters, Delia (Lazaro) Guzman of Freer, Texas, Rosalinda (Floyd Devoe) Austin of Agua Dulce, Texas, Dalia (Frank) Hernandez of Colorado, Yolanda Rivera and Sylvia Garcia, both of Kerrville, Texas, and Guadalupe (Mike) Kelldle of Kan.; two sons, Raul (Gloria) Rivera Jr. of Wichita, Kansas, and Jose Luis (Sylvia) Aguilar of San Diego, Texas; two brothers, Reynaldo Rivera Jr. of San Diego, Texas, and Reymundo (Elida) Rivera of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters, Elvira (Juan Marcelo) Buitron of Benavides, Texas, Celia (Pablo) Loredo of Edinburg, Texas, and Esmeralda Garza of Alice, Texas; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Roberson Funeral Home chapel with a Rosary be recited at 7 p.m. that evening.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas. Burial followed in the Benavides cemetery.
