Kathryn Fogle Dierke, 72, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2007 in Conroe, Texas.

She was born on October 16, 1935 in Plainview, Texas, and raised in Freer, Texas.

Shortly after graduation she met her husband of 53 years, C.W. "Dirk" Dierke, Sr. They moved to Bishop, Texas, where she raised their three children and worked as a secretary for the First United Methodist Church and Bishop High School as an assistant Librarian. She devoted her life to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.W. "Curly" Fogle Sr. and Cula Eloise McCamant Fogle' her brother. H. W. "Herbie" Fogle Jr.; and her son C. W. "Dub" Dierke Jr.

Mrs. Dierke is survived by her husband, C.W. "Dirk;" her daughter, Katy (Richard) Duncan of Huntsville, Texas; her son, Charles H. (Kelly) Dierke; two grandsons, and a daughter in law.

She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Dent Fogle (Jimmy L.) Solomon of Statesboro, Ga; and nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

A memorial service was held, Saturday, December 1, 2007 in the sanctuary at the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Texas, under the direction of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Pickett officiating.

FREER, Texas - Gayle Gee "Corky" McLaughlin Jr., a long time resident of Freer, Texas, passed away Monday, December 3, 2007 in a Alice hospital after a sudden illness.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Russell McLaughlin.

Survivors include his mother, Kitty McLaughlin of Dilley, Texas; his stepson, Darrel (Veronica) Elder of Freer, Texas; several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Garza Funeral Home Chapel in Freer, Texas.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. at the Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, Texas, with Brother Joe Carrales officiating.
