Garza

FALFURRIAS - Servando Garza, 81, passed away at a Falfurrias nursing home on May 10, 2007. He was a retired United States Naval Reservist and a retired civil servant.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Garza of Falfurrias, Texas; two sons, Ernie Garza of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Roberto (Argelia Mireles) Hinojosa of Falfurrias, Texas; one daughter, Nelda (David) Garcia of Conroe, Texas; three sisters, Minga Villanueva, Andrea Rodriguez and Mary Juarez, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Falfurrias Burial Park, Falfurrias, Texas.

SOMERVILLE, Texas - Michelle Katie Shah, 19, of Somerville, died May 10, 2007, near Brenham, Texas. She was born Dec. 30, 1987, in Brenham, to Manzoor H. Shah and Mary E. Conner. She was employed as a nurse's aide at Brenham Rest Home and loved working with residents and helping people. Her goal was to be a nurse.

Survivors include her mother, Mary E. Conner of Somerville; her father and stepmother, Manzoor H. and Rukaia Ali Shah of Alice; two sisters, Dedra (Henry Villarreal) Conner and Assra Ann Shah; two brothers, Ali Mahdi Shah and Shan Mahdi Shah; grandparents, Charles Sr. and Ann Conner of Burton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family received visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2007 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. The funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham with Pastor Lawrence Bade officiating. Burial was in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
