Hinojosa, Lamb, Torres, Villarreal
SAN DIEGO, Texas - Guadalupe G. Hinojosa, 83, passed away September 4, 2007 in an Alice hospital. She was a volunteer for the Duval County Senior Citizens Program in San Diego, Texas. She was also a devoted parishioner and member of St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amado and Rafaela Garcia Garcia; her husband, Eugenio R. Hinojosa; one daughter, Diana Leal; one grandson, Michael Gonzalez; a great-grandson, Victor-Carlos Samarron; three brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Mario A. (Lile) Hinojosa of Corpus Christi, Texas, Eugenio R. (Leticia) Hinojosa Jr. of Austin, Texas, Carlos Homero (Rosie) Hinojosa of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Betty (Carlos) Soriano of Alice, Texas, Lupita (Ignacio) Gonzalez and Selma (Hector) Gonzalez, both of San Diego, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary that evening at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church with burial following at the San Diego Cemetery.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Elias Xavier Lamb, 42, passed away September 3, 2007 after a sudden illness. He was born April 24, 1965 in Alice, Texas to Marcos and Velia Lamb.
He was an aviation mechanic of L-3 Communication - Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.
Survivors include his parents, Marcos and Velia Lamb of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Andrea Marie and Sarah Ann Lamb, both of Corpus Christi; two sons, Michael Anthony and Patrick Ian Lamb, both of Corpus Christi; and the mother of his children, Rosalia M. Martinez of Alice.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2007 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening at the Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel in Alice.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday September 7, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice.
Burial will follow in the Alice Cemetery.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Azucena "Susie" Torres, passed away on September 3, 2007. She was born on March 16, 1948 to the late Francisco "Pancho" Lerma and Carlota Resendez Lerma. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rolando Lerma.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, David Torres Jr.; three sons, Jesus "Jesse" (Sandra "Bibi") Torres, David Torres III and Gilberto Torres; one daughter, Annabel J. Lerma; four brothers and one sister Adrian Lerma, Frank "Panchito" Lerma, Micaela Zepeda, Dionico "Nicho" Lerma, and Isabel "Chave" Lerma; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at 6 p.m. at Delgado Funeral Home, 319 W. Mitchell, San Antonio, Texas.
The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007, at St Cecilia Catholic Church in San Antonio.

HEBBRONVILLE, Texas - Virgilio Villarreal, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007 in a Kingsville nursing home. He was a self-employed cabinetmaker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romualdo and Ofelicitas G. Villarreal of Monterrey, N.L. Mexico; one sister, Yamile V. Lopez; one brother, Omar Villareal; a daughter, Cristina Villarreal; and twin granddaughters.
Survivors include five daughters, Pauline (Mario) Galvan of Hebbronville Texas, Ofelia Villarreal of Houston, Texas, Marilu Coronado of Hebbronville, Elizabeth Villarreal of Laredo, Texas, and Patricia Villarreal of Texas City, Texas; one son, Virgil Villarreal of Hebbronville; two sisters, Alma Nellie Garcia and Virginia Galvan, both of Monterrey N. L., Mexico; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday September 5, 2007, at Alaniz Funeral Home in Hebbronville.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial was at New Hebbronville Cemetery Hebbronville, Texas.
