PREMONT, Texas - Antonio C. Cantu Jr., 68, passed away on November 8, 2007 at a Falfurrias nursing home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Anita Cantu; one brother, Adan Cantu and one sister, Eva Cantu Canales.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Luisa Cantu of Premont; three sons, Aurelio (Diana) Cantu, Raul (Clara) Cantu Sr. and Alejandro Cantu, all of Premont; two brothers, Roberto Cantu and Leonel Cantu, both of Realitos, Texas; two sisters: Olivia Saenz of Realitos and Estella Canales of Alice, Texas; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Friday November 9, 2007 at Alaniz Funeral Home of Falfurrias. A Chapel Service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday November 10, 2007 at the Alaniz Funeral Horne of Falfurrias. Burial followed in the Premont Cemetery, Premont, Texas.

Jamison

VICTORIA, Texas - Thomasina Jamison, known to her friends as "Tommie", passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2007. She was born outside of Arkadelphia, Ark., on February 15, 1916 to Denman and Cora Wilkins. She married Lorion H. "Jimmy" Jamison in September 1936 in Hebbronville, Texas. They resided in Freer and Alice, Texas until they moved to Victoria in 1982. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&I and received her Masters Degree in Education. She taught in the Alice I. S. D. for 21 years. She and Jimmy bowled in the Senior League for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lorion H. "Jimmy" Jamison; sisters, Cassie Holman, Aline Selph, Fannie Lou Kingrey and Cora Katherine Shortt; and brothers, Jim Nick and Frank Wilkins.

Survivors include her son, L. H. (Sharon) Jamison Jr of Conroe; daughter, Shirley (Arthur) Buckert of Victoria; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgranddaughter.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at Colonial Funeral Home.

Private graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A Memorial Service followed at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Williams officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Northside Baptist Christmas Pageant or Hospice of South Texas.
