ORANGE GROVE, Texas - Rigoberto Flores, Jr., 55, passed away November 17, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital. He retired after a 25 year-career as a welder. He was preceded in death by his father, Rigoberto C. Flores Sr.; and a sister, Irene V. Maldonado.

Survivors include his wife, Nivia A. Flores of Orange Grove, Texas; two sons, Greg Flores and Rigoberto Flores III, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; one stepson, Andrew Martinez of Orange Grove, Texas; two daughters, Amy (Richard) Puga of San Antonio, Texas, and Alvida (Gary) Hensz of Aurora, Colo.; his mother, Ramona A. Flores of Sandia, Texas; his parents-in-law, Teofilo and Elvira Alaniz of Orange Grove, Texas; one brother, George (Sandra) Flores of Sandia, Texas; two sisters, Mary Jane (Enrique) Orozco of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Diana (Rick) Liendo of Orange Grove, Texas; six step-grandchildren, Cassandra Puga, Richard Alegria, Drenna, Gary, Julianne and Robert Hensz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2007, at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Orange Grove, Texas. Burial will follow at Sandia Cemetery in Sandia, Texas.

PREMONT, Texas - Saturnino Mata Jr., 62, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Saturnino and Sofia B. Mata.

Survivors include his wife, Dalia Q. Mata of Premont, Texas; five sons, Jesse Nolan Mata of Falfurrias, Texas, David (Cynthia) Mata of Victoria, Texas, and Danny Quintanilla, Juan Rolando Quintanilla and Jaime Quintanilla, all of Premont Texas; four daughters, Christina Marie Diaz of Victoria Texas, Melissa (Mario Jr.) Munoz of Falfurrias, Herlinda Sofia (Alonzo) Solis of Kingsville Texas, and Maricelda Quintanilla of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Ramon (Ombelina) Mata and Roel Mata of Premont, Texas; two sisters, Hilda (Carlos) Garcia of San Antonio, Texas, and Irma (Nick) Lopez of Premont Texas; and 20 grandchildren.

A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007 with visitation beginning at 4 p.m. at Alaniz Funeral Home of Falfurrias. A private memorial service will be held at a later date arranged by the family.

ALICE - Gary Wayne Williams, 56, passed away November 17, 2007 at his home in Alice. He was born April 17, 1951 in El Campo, Texas to Huey and Alice Williams. He was employed with Aycock, Inc. for the past five years as a driver and in sales. He formerly worked for Halliburton Energy Services for 10 years and with other oil field-related companies. Gary was an avid fisherman, he attended West Main Baptist Church in Alice, and was active in church drama. Gary loved the Lord Jesus and his family, he was very outgoing and loved people. He was preceded in death by his father, Huey P. Williams.

Survivors include his mother, Alice Williams of Alice; four sisters, Sharon Wilkins of Mathis, Karen Sanders of Wilmington, N.C., Donna Torregano of San Diego, Calif., and Doris Beish of Alice; his twin brother, Larry Williams of Alice; four nieces, Joy Ann and Dawn Michelle Williams, Ali Sanders and Tiffany Torregano; and one nephew, Cory Torregano.

Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2007 from noon to 9 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tucsday, November 20, 2007 at West Main Baptist Church in Alice, Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
