Alejandro C. Castaneda, 90, from Kingsville, Texas died September 13, 2007.
He was born on January 13, 1917 to Mr. and Mrs. Manuel (Antonia) Castaneda. He is a retired civil service carpenter, U.S. Army World War II Veteran and avid golfer.
Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia C. (Guadalupe) Lucio of Houston, Texas and Marisela Castaneda of Kingsville, Texas; seven sons, Alejandro Castaneda, Estanislado Castaneda, Gilbert Castaneda, Gabriel Castaneda, Trinidad Castaneda, Victor Manuel Castaneda, Mario Castaneda, all from Kingsville, Texas; one sister, Evangelina Garcia of Kingsville, Texas; one brother, Manuel Castaneda of Kingsville, Texas; 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is being held Friday, September 14, 2007 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
A Rosary will be held at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 7 p.m. with Funeral service to be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church. Father Joe Torres will officiate with burial following at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
