Klaevemann

ORANGE GROVE, Texas - Minnie Brand Klaevemann, 92, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at her residence. She was born April 16, 1915 in Orange Grove, Texas. She was a homemaker and steamstress. She was also a member of the Faith Church UCC in Orange Grove where she taught Sunday school and served in many other capacities. She also was a 4-H leader. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Klaevemann; and by one grandson.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy (Aubrey) Browning of Orange Grove, Texas, and Betty (Roy) Bertram of Three Rivers, Texas; five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, November 18, 2007 with the family present from 2 to 3 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel in Mathis. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Faith Church UCC in Orange Grove. Interment followed in the Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove.

Flores

ORANGE GROVE, Texas - Rigoberto Flores, Jr., 55, passed away November 17, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital. He retired after a 25 year-career as a welder. He was preceded in death by his father, Rigoberto C. Flores Sr.; and a sister, Irene V. Maldonado.

Survivors include his wife, Nivia A. Flores of Orange Grove, Texas; two sons, Greg Flores and Rigoberto Flores III, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; one stepson, Andrew Martinez of Orange Grove, Texas; two daughters, Amy (Richard) Puga of San Antonio, Texas, and Alvida (Gary) Hensz of Aurora, Colo.; his mother, Ramona A. Flores of Sandia, Texas; his parents-in-law, Teofilo and Elvira Alaniz of Orange Grove, Texas; one brother, George (Sandra) Flores of Sandia, Texas; two sisters, Mary Jane (Enrique) Orozco of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Diana (Rick) Liendo of Orange Grove, Texas; six step-grandchildren, Cassandra Puga, Richard Alegria, Drenna, Gary, Julianne and Robert Hensz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2007, at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Orange Grove, Texas. Burial followed at Sandia Cemetery in Sandia, Texas.
