ALICE, Texas - Leonor G. Lewis, 85, passed away June 9, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital. She worked for Fashion Cleaners and Alice P&S Hospital for many years. She was also a housewife and a member of the Guadalupanas and Catholic Daughters of America. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Luz Alvarez Guerra; two brothers, Jesus and Juan Guerra; and two sisters, Jesusa Cantu and Genoveva Medina.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Allen Lewis of Alice, Texas; three sons, Guadalupe (Alicia) Gonzalez of Alice, Gilbert (Cynthia) Lewis of Corpus Christi, Texas, and John Andrew (Mary Lou) Lewis of San Diego, Texas; two daughters, Virginia Lewis of San Diego, Texas, and Vivian Caro of Hebbronville, Texas; three brothers, Ramon Guerra of Alice, David Guerra of Zapata, Texas, and Benito Cardona of Alice; three sisters, Dominga Trejo, Hilda Rivers and Rosa Ortiz, all of Houston, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home of San Diego. A Rosary will be recited that evening at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church and burial will follow at the Buena Vista Cemetery in La Rosita, Texas.

FALFURRIAS, Texas - Alex Ray Robledo, 17, passed away on June 9, 2007 from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Kingsville, Texas. His mother, Aradelia Vela, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his father, Reynaldo Robledo of Falfurrias, Texas; a grandmother, Guadalupe Vela of Falfurrias; one brother, Reynaldo Robledo of Falfurrias; one sister, Monica Pulido of Falfurrias, Texas; two nieces and two nephews.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Falfurrias, Texas.

FALFURRIAS, Texas - Jeanette Salinas, 22, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital. She was born on March 19, 1985 to Jorge Salinas and Maria Luisa Sepulveda in McAllen, Texas. She lived in Falfurrias with her mother, Maria Luisa S. Rangel and her stepfather, Alonzo Rangel where she attended school and graduated from Falfurrias High School in 2003.
She was planning on attending college, but she had been working, with her last job being a jailer for Kleberg County Sheriff Department.
Survivors include her mother, Maria Luisa Sepulveda Rangel and stepfather, Alonzo Rangel of Falfurrias, Texas; her father Jorge Salinas and stepmother Diana Salinas, of McAllen, Texas; her maternal grandmother, Teresa Sepulveda of Rio Grande City, Texas; and her paternal grandparents, Senaido and Elva Salinas of Edinburg, Texas; her sisters, Jennifer (T.C. Teague) Salinas of Premont, Texas, Janessa Salinas of Falfurrias, Texas, and Hadassah (Miguel) Lozano of Mansfield, Texas, her brothers, Frank (Rebecca) Rangel of San Antonio, Texas, Johnny L. Rangel of Falfurrias, Texas, and Alonzo C. Rangel (Ellie) from Moorhead, Minn.; four nieces and her boyfriend.
A funeral talk was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias. Funeral services continued at 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias. Interment followed at the Midway Cemetery in Starr County.

ALICE, Texas - Alicia S. Torres, 79, passed away June 9, 2007 in an Alice nursing home. She was born January 9, 1928 in Kingsville, Texas, to Modesto B. and Inez Silva.
She was a retired salesperson, having worked last for Bealls Department Store in Alice.
Survivors include three daughters, Maria Isabel (George) Trevino and Angelica Torres, both of Alice, and Nora Lisa (Jesus) Moreno of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sons, George Torres of Corpus Christi, Jesus (Peggy) Torres Jr. of Lake Jackson, and Efrain (Nora Lee) Torres of Alice; four sisters, Carmen Perez, Maria De La Luz (Abelardo) Rodriguez and Graciela Vasquez, all of Alice, and Francisca (Venancio) Covarrubias of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Efrain (Maria) Silva of Corpus Christi, Jose Angel (Irene) Silva of Alice, Juan Manuel Cordova of Houston; 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at Holmgreen Mortuary.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. that evening at Emmanuel Baptist Church (formerly Primera lglesia Bautista Mexicana) that evening.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday June 12, 2007 at Emmanuel Baptist Church (formerly Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana). Burial will follow in New Collins Cemetery.
