ALICE, Texas – Bryan Neal Yocum, 54, passed away January 25, 2010 in a Corpus Christi hospital. He was born August 31, 1955 in Guymon, Okla., to Edgar Abram and Donna Yocum. He was self-employed in the oilfield.
Bryan was preceded in death by his son, Ryan Yocum; his father, Ed Yocum and his father-in-law, Ray Shipp.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Yocum of Alice, Texas; his mother, Donna Yocum of Alice, Texas; one daughter, Tara Yocum of San Antonio, Texas; one son, Ryder Yocum of Camp Pendellton, Calif.; two sisters, Eddie (Steve) Findley and Leslie (Deveart) Denning of Lytle, Texas; two brothers, Bruce Yocum of Alice, Texas, and Brent (Tinker) Yocum of George West, Texas; his mother-in-law, Thelma Shipp of Alice, Texas; six nieces, Gentry, Baylis, Courtney, Sara, Trisha, and Brooke and 10 nephews, Travis, Justin, Skye, Luke, Morgan, Cameron, Denton, Tynan, James and Justin.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alice.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
