Army Reserve Pvt. Jose N. Jimenez has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky. Jimenez, a student at Banquete High School, is the son of JoAnna and stepson of Jimmy Moreno of Bosquez Street in Robstown.

During the nine-week training period, Jimenez received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, traditions, and core values.

Army Pfc. Miguel D. Garza has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky. Garza, a 2004 graduate of Bishop High School, is the son of Annabelle Garza of West First Street in Bishop.

During the nine-week training period, Garza received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, traditions, and core values.
