Three students were arrested at Memorial Intermediate School Tuesday, after they allegedly broke into the boys' locker room and damaged school property.

According to Alice Police Department reports, three boys, ages 12, 13 and 14, were observed by school staff leaving the boys' locker room with several basketballs.

An investigation revealed the boys had allegedly broken into the locker room and taken the basketballs. School officials told police the boys had also damaged a light in the locker room.

All three boys were arrested Tuesday and were charged with burglary of a building.

Because of their ages, the names of the three boys were not released by police.

They were transported to the Rio Grande Juvenile Detention Facility and are currently awaiting a hearing in juvenile court.
