Alice ISD School Board members will hold a special meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the board room to canvass the trustee election results and declare the official winners of the AISD election.

Incumbent R. David Guerrero retained his seat in Place 4 against David Johnson by more than 500 votes, while Lee S. Ramon won a three-way race for Place 5 against Servando "Wolf" Garza Jr. and Richard Gonzalez by an overwhelming margin.

Also under the action items, the board will decide among the four bids collected on the project to relocate the concrete light fixtures from William Adams Middle School to Alice High School. With the tennis courts, field and concession stand already demolished, the relocation of the light fixtures is one of the last steps necessary to prepare for the upcoming new William Adams Middle School construction.

The school board will also receive a presentation from architect LaMarr Womack concerning the final construction plans and specifications on the new middle school project. With the board's approval of the final plans, permission to solicit competitive sealed proposals for the new middle school will follow.

The meeting is open to the public.
