The Board of Directors of the Jim Wells County Appraisal District held a brief meeting Wednesday, during which board members approved a lease agreement for the district.
The only action item on the agenda for Wednesday's meeting of the board was the renewal of a lease agreement between the district and Dolphin Capital Corporation for a digital mailing system for the district.
The district has used the company for its mailing services for five years, officials with the district said.
The board approved a renewal of the lease at an unchanged rate, for a period of 60 months.
The rate of the lease will continue at $237 a month for the mailing machine and an additional $47 a month for the postage meter.
In other business, district staff informed the board the district will hold a community-wide ribbon cutting ceremony for the district's new facility at First Community Bank on Monday from 2 to 5 p.m.
