An orientation meeting for high school students and their parents is scheduled for today at 7 p.m. at the Alice High School auditorium to review the drug testing policy.

Parent or legal guardian attendance at the orientation meeting is mandatory for all students, school officials said.

If a student and their parent or legal guardian fail to attend the meeting, the student will not be allowed to participate in any school-sponsored extracurricular activities.

The student will also not be able to possess a parking permit until the orientation process is completed.

Band, football, volleyball, JROTC students and students involved with other sports and organizations are encouraged to attend.
