As we near the last quarter of our year-round centennial celebration for the city of Robstown, I want to encourage all of our citizens to continue honoring our city by participating in all planned events.

The Centennial Homecoming Alumni Celebration is Oct. 12 at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds.

The Centennial Plaza ribbon cutting is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 25.

The Centennial CottonFest & Bull Fest will be the first week of November and the Centennial Lighting Procession-Holiday Parade is the first week of December.

My gratitude goes to the mayor and council members and all the Centennial Planning Committee for their hard work.

The Centennial Cotton Ball held on June 2 was a great success. All completed centennial events have had success due to your efforts. Please continue to work together to close our 100th year celebrations.

Our vision is to re-brand Robstown with a new image of growth, prosperity, and hospitality for the next 100 years.

Elias R. Vasquez

Chairperson of the Centennial Planning Committee
