The Alice City Council is scheduled to meet tonight to discuss the proposed 2007-2008 city budget, including a number of possible fee changes.
According to the agenda posted by the city, the council is scheduled to review and discuss the 2006-2007 fiscal year revised city budget and the 2007-2008 fiscal year proposed city budget.
The council is also scheduled to "discuss, consider and act upon ordinances of the City of Alice, Texas, amending the Code of Ordinances, relating to all departments, by the enactment of new provisions under 'fees, charges, fines, deposits, surcharges, rates and/or penalties;' providing savings and separability clauses; revoking all ordinances in conflict therewith; providing effective dates; and incorporating changes as part of the city's fee schedule, including, but not limited to: water and sewer tap fees, pool fees, park facilities fees, golf course fees, and water and sewer rates."
Other items on tonight's agenda include the following:
Hear and discuss status report from city manager concerning pending and prospective projects and general operations. Discuss, consider and act upon amendment of commercial lease agreement between the City of Alice and Sara Ramos with Fairway Grill at the Alice Municipal Golf Course.
Today's meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Alice City Hall.
