A Jim Wells County grand jury issued 10 indictments on Sept. 17, which were released by the Jim Wells County District Clerk’s office on Monday.

The indictments range from forgery to assault on a public servant.

• Isabel Denise Heritage was indicted on one count of forgery in connection with an incident on Oct. 22, 2007. Heritage allegedly altered a document so it looked as if it was the act of Wells Fargo Bank, which did not authorize the altering. A copy of the alleged forged official check was presented in the indictment, made out to Pasadena Sporting Goods, for the amount of $6,884.

Heritage was also indicted on a second count of forgery in connection with an incident on Jan. 22, 2008. Heritage allegedly altered another document as if written by Mario Villarreal, acting for Wells Fargo Bank, who did not authorize the act.

• Juan Ramirez was indicted on one count of assault on a public servant in connection to an incident on Dec. 29, 2007. Ramirez allegedly caused bodily injury to Benito Gonzalez by spitting in his face. According to the indictment, the defendant did know that Gonzalez was at the time lawfully discharging an official duty as a peace officer with the Alice Police Department.

• Cindy Ann Gutierrez was indicted on one count of burglary of a habitation in connection to an incident on Jan. 2, 2007. She allegedly entered a habitation without the consent of Rosa Rangel, the owner.

• Mark Anthony Trevino was indicted on one count of burglary of a habitation in connection to an incident on Jan. 2, 2007. Trevino allegedly entered a habitation without the consent of Rosa Rangel, the owner.

• Michael Alegria was indicted on one count of burglary of a building in connection to an incident on May 27, 2007. Alegria allegedly entered a portion of the building not open to the public without the consent of Jeanette Herschap, the owner.

• Alma Luz Rodriguez was indicted on one count of burglary of a building in connection to an incident on July 24, 2007. Rodriguez allegedly entered a building or portion of a building not then open to the public and without the consent of Rodolfo Gonzalez, the owner.

• Juan Jose Pereida Jr. was indicted on one count of credit card abuse in connection to an incident on Dec. 24, 2007. Pereida allegedly acquired or took control over a Performance Trucking gas card in the name of Allen T. Gordon, without the consent of the owner and with the intent to use it.

• Manuel Martinez III was indicted on one count of credit card abuse in connection to an incident on Dec. 24, 2007. Martinez allegedly acquired or took control over a Performance Trucking gas card in the name of Allen T. Gordon, without the consent of the owner and with the intent to use it.

• Daniel Soliz was indicted on one count of credit card abuse in connection to an incident on Dec. 24, 2007. Martinez allegedly acquired or took control over a Performance Trucking gas card in the name of Allen T. Gordon, without the consent of the owner and with the intent to use it.
