The March of Dimes invites local businesses and schools across the nation in the 2007 March of Dimes Annual Blue Jeans for Babies “Every Baby Has a Story” campaign, which will kick off the first week in November, with T-shirts in the area office by mid-October.

Now in its 14th year, Blue Jeans for Babies is a fun, easy and growing event that all can participate in. This event

Requires little effort and time on your part Pays big dividends with employees, colleagues and friends Great way to boost employee morale and lift productivity Shows that your school or business is committed to the good of your community

Whether your school or business has two or 200 people, your participation allows everyone to enjoy a more comfortable day, while giving future generations the chance for a healthier life. Although the March of Dimes has made great strides in improving the health of mothers and babies, we have a long way to go.

Please consider this:

During the average week in Texas 7,259 babies are born 1,003 are born premature 572 of those are born low birth weight (below 5 1/2 pounds) 45 of those babies will die before their first birthday*

The purchase of a T-shirt or button will allow employees to wear jeans to work in November and December on days you designate.
