A search of an apartment in San Diego Wednesday revealed packages of cocaine, as well as items stolen during a recent burglary in the city.

According to San Diego Police Department reports, officers arrested Ariel Rubio, 20, a San Diego man, Wednesday afternoon for possession of marijuana.

Rubio was also a suspect in a number of burglaries that have occurred in the city in the past few weeks, investigators said. Rubio reportedly gave the officers consent to search his apartment, located in the 100 block of St. Charles Street.

In searching the apartment, officers located 19 small packages of cocaine, with a total estimated street value of $1,000. Several items believed to be stolen during recent burglaries were also located in the apartment. Those items included kitchen pots and ammunition.

In addition to the charge for possession of marijuana, Rubio was also charged with possession of cocaine.
