Citations pending in Tuesday wreck

Two women were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 44 and Matt Murphy Road, police said.
According to police, the driver of an Altima, Denise Escamilla, 21, was traveling west on Highway 44 about 4 p.m. and attempted to turn into the hospital driveway on Matt Murphy Road.
A Jeep traveling eastbound collided and sideswiped the car.
The driver of the Jeep, Mary Alvarez, 49, was not hurt, but her passenger was taken to the hospital. Escamilla was also transported to the hospital.
Both are believed to have non-life threatening injuries.
The Altima sustained damage to the passenger side of the vehicle and a shattered windshield.
The Jeep had front damage to the passenger area.
Citations were pending, police said.
