The Alice City Council will consider giving a one-time economic incentive of $25,000 to encourage development on two acres of land off Highways 44 and 359 during tonight's city council meeting.
The council will also considering rescinding a previous unanimous vote for replacement of self-contained breathing apparatuses for the Alice Fire Department.
The item was approved at the city council meeting two weeks ago.
Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall and is open to the public.
Other items up for consideration or discussion include awarding a janitorial contract; authorizing the APD to submit a tobacco compliance grant application; and the status of May 25 flooding claims.
