The Tuloso-Midway Independent School District is asking parents in the Clarkwood area to talk about their ideas and concerns.

School officials will hold a neighborhood meeting Nov. 13 at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church, located at 1080 Clarkwood Road, in order for parents to meet with leaders from each of the district's five campuses.

Assistant superintendent Anna Peterson said this will be the fourth neighborhood meeting the school district has had since its inception last school year and the second time school officials visit the Clarkwood area.

"Last time, for some reason, we didn't have a very big turnout, so we want to try going there again," Peterson said.

In addition to having the five principals from each of the district's campuses provide updates on what's happening at their respective schools, Superintendent Cornelio Gonzalez will also be on hand to field and answer questions from parents.

Peterson said the district is aiming to have four meetings this year total - two in the fall and two more in the spring of next calendar year.

"That's what we're shooting for, at least," she added.
