Guests are being sought to celebate the first “…And Justice is Served” banquet on April 26 at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Center, 1730 W. Corral Ave. in Kingville. The 6:30 to 11 p.m. event will feature a barbecue dinner, dance, silent auction and being served portions of the meal by area judiciary is sponsored by CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

Cost of the evening is $60 per couple or $35 per person. Anyone unable to attend but that is interested in making a donation may do so by calling Brush Country CASA at 595-7233. Also being solicited are donations (minimum value of $25) for the silent auction.

CASA is a network of more than 50,000 volunteers who serve 225,000 abused and neglected children through more than 900 local program offices nationwide.

Advocates, also known as volunteer guardians ad litem in some jurisdictions, are appointed members of the court.
