Believed to distribute cocaine

Rodolfo Ortiz, 24, of San Diego was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance Friday, Aug. 10, at a residence located on County Road 337, just south of the city limits, according to official police reports.
After conducting a search of the house, more than 170 grams of cocaine was found concealed in a jar that was hidden within an area of the bedroom and was seized by agents.
The cocaine is estimated at a street value of about $9,000, reports show.
Ortiz was believed to be responsible for the distribution of cocaine within the city of San Diego as well as in Alice and Benavides, reports say.
Ortiz was taken to the Duval County Jail and was later released on $1,500 bond, records show.
Central South Texas Criminal Investigation Unit agents were assisted by the Jim Wells County Task Force in the operation.
