More than 100 pounds of marijuana was seized and three people were arrested during a multi-agency raid on the northwest side of Alice Tuesday.

The raid began shortly after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at a residence on Oakland Avenue in Alice.

Officials at the scene said the operation was a combined effort with the Department of Public Safety Narcotics Division, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency and the Alice Police Department.

Officials said the raid interrupted three individuals who were unloading four large bundles, containing more than 100 pounds of marijuana, from a truck.

Those individuals, identified as Ramiro Carpentier Jr., 29; Mario Garcia Jr., 30; and Jesus Lopez Jr., 31, all of Alice, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
