School Board members for Agua Dulce ISD will look to approve a Texas Education Agency Certification Wavier request for the 2007-2008 school year for the new superintendent Donna Hilliard, at tonight's school board meeting.
She was approved as the new superintendent in last month's meeting by the board, effective July 1.
Hilliard, a former Tuloso Midway Elementary principal, was hired by the school board, but does not have her superintendent certification.
A TEA wavier is necessary to allow Hilliard to conduct school business in her new role while she completes her certification courses during the 2007-2008 school year. Board members have given Hilliard until the end of the next school year to complete her certification.
The board will also hold a discussion and possible action on approving a closed campus for the 2007-2008 school year.
The public meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. today.
