The Jim Wells County Commissioner's Court will hold two meetings on Monday, the first regular meeting will begin at 10 a.m., and the second, special meeting will begin at 1 p.m.
During the court's regular meeting, commissioners will consider authorizing County Judge L. Arnoldo Saenz to advertise for proposals for ambulance service.
Commisioners will also consider authorizing Saenz to advertise for bids on janitorial services for the courthouse and county offices.
Also on the agenda, the court will consider approving the installation of a line underneath County Road 460 in JWC, and consider approving a Well Fargo Finance Agreement for equipment purchased by Pct. 3 Commissioner Wally Alanis.
The court will then proceed into closed, executive session to discuss both pending litigation and personnel related matters.
Under personnel, the court will discuss the appointment of an airport manager, which the city of Alice approved last week.
Charles Brazzell Sr. was selected for the position of airport manager, with a salary of $1,000 a month.
He will assume the position vacated by former Airport Manager Bill McCumber in February, pending the court's approval.
The city and county must approve Brazell's hiring before it can be considered official.
Regarding litigation, the court will discuss the cases of Jim Wells County vs. Odell Parisher, Tito Gonzales vs. JWC and Gonzalo Montes vs. JWC.
The court will reconvene in open session to take any necessary action as a result of the discussions during closed session.
The commissioners will also consider designating engineering and administration service providers for the 2007-2008 Texas Community Development Block Grant Community Development fund award and the Colonia fund award.
The court will also consider a resolution to designate authorized signators for the CDBG program grants.
During the special meeting of the court Monday afternoon, there will be a discussion and distribution of personnel policy.
