The Alice City Council will consider approving next year's budget and tax rate at a 6:30 p.m. meeting today at City Hall.
The proposed budget includes fee increases, including a 9.8 percent water rate increase to cover bond expenses for repairs to the city's water structure.
The council will also consider waiving refuse disposal fees for senior or incapacitated residents whose homes have been condemned because of catastrophic events, and who are rebuilding on the same property.
The waiver will not apply to those residences with homeowner's insurance or who receive other funds covering such catastrophic events.

And, a public hearing will be held for the After School Action programs. Council will consider their approval as well.
