Temperatures to drop into upper 40s during nighttime hours

Fall weather is in the air as cooler degrees and showers came into downtown Alice Monday about 8:15 a.m.

Residents pulled out their boots and sweaters to take advantage of the declining temperatures.

According to the Corpus Christi National Weather Service, Alice would have scattered showers and possible thunderstorms before 10 a.m. Monday with mostly cloudly skies and temperatures around 56 by 1 p.m.

The day was forecast to be windy with increasing winds between 25 to 28 miles per hour and NWS nighttime reports residents could expect partly cloudy skies with a low of around 49 degrees.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 78 degrees with winds from the north, northwest at seven to 14 miles per hour.

Tuesday night is predicted to be clear with a low of about 49 degrees, the report said.

Wednesday continues to stay cool with a high of 76 degrees and at night, clear with temperatures around 51 degrees.
