A woman was found nearly naked passed out in a back seat of a car on Park Street Halloween night, and police suspect she was sexually assaulted.

"Last night, (Oct. 31) a sexual assault occurred and we are working on two arrest warrants," Police Chief Danny Bueno said. "Apparently they had been drinking."

According to the police report, a green 1994 Toyota was found parked in the middle of Park Street near Seabreeze Street, with its windshield wipers still on about 10 p.m.

"A lady called in to (9-1-1) because she had heard someone yelling and crying," Bueno said.

When police arrived, the 47-year-old woman was "lying in the back seat passed out naked with only her bra on, which was raised up over her (chest)," the report said.

The police officer on the scene woke her up and she responded, but the report said that she appeared to be in a daze and confused and was not aware of her whereabouts.

The police report said she had grass around her private area, in her hair and all over her body.

She was bleeding from her bottom lip and had redness to her face from where she appeared to have been hit, and her knees and foot had abrasions, the report said.

At first police said the victim was not cooperating, but has since changed her mind.

"She was shaken up," Sgt. Tony Aguilar said. "She was scared of retaliation."

The victim told police that she fought with the suspects until they left her alone, the report said. It was unknown if the victim knew the suspects.

She was transported to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Alice to be checked for a possible sexual assault, police said.
