Freer City Council incumbent Andrea Bierstedt was re-elected by a margin of 77 votes, defeating opponent Josie Fernandez for Place 3.
The city's general election was held last Saturday at the high school.
Official election results show Bierstedt received 405 total votes and Fernandez received a total of 328.
Also re-elected to the council were Orlando Navarro, Place 4 who received a total of 407 votes and Sylvia Carrillo, Place 5 who received 439 votes. Both were unopposed.
A proposition of the re-authorization of the local sales and use tax in the City of Freer at the rate of a quarter of one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets was also passed 589 to 41 votes.
