ORANGE GROVE - A tractor valued at $47,600 was recovered on Saturday, Oct. 6 on County Road 350 stuck in the mud just 200 yards away from owner's property.
According to sheriff officials, the owner is not sure when the theft of the 2017 John Deere Tractor was taken from her property. The tractor was driven off the property through a fence on the north side of the property. Damage to the fence is estimated at $90.
Sheriff Daniel Bueno wants to remind everyone especially farm and ranch owners about his farm and ranch program. He urges people to record serial numbers and take photos of your property to help recover your equipment.
"Farm equipment is easily stolen and the equipment can end up in Mexico or San Antonio," Bueno stated.
No arrest has been made. The case is still under investigation.
