Leonel Gallegos called 9-1-1 Wednesday to let them know he was upset about not having water at his home and was on his way to the water department to assault someone.

Dispatch sent a police officer to the Alice Water Department. When the officer arrived, he spoke with an employee who stated that a man had also called the department and made a threat.

According to police, the 50-year-old suspect had arrived at his home from work and found that his water had been shut off.

As the officer spoke with the employee, Gallegos walked into City Hall. He claimed to be the person who called about his water disconnection.

Gallegos was escorted out of the building where he was arrested. He was charged with terroristic threat and given a $500 bond.

He was released on Wednesday.
