ROBSTOWN – Get Ready this weekend, September 28 and 29 in Central Pavilion Arena, for Robstown’s Annual Cottonfest BBQ Cook-Off!

Cottonfest is presented by the Cotton Community Partnership and the City of Robstown. This year’s Cottonfest is a two-day filled event at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds (RMB Regional Fairgrounds) with a new addition of a Cottonfest 5K! 

Fun, Music and GIGS

Admission is $5 for Cottonfest and includes entrance to the GIGS area (inflatable obstacle courses)

Kids 11 years old and under are FREE admission to Cottonfest and $5 per day for GIGS area

Parking to Cottonfest is also FREE

Cottonfest 5K 

Cottonfest has their first 5K at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds beginning at 7:30 am. On Saturday, September 29. Cottonfest 5K is a great healthy initiative for the Robstown community to continue growing the Annual Cottonfest event in Robstown. The event is also a kid-friendly Run/Walk for all ages, with a 1K option for kids.

BBQ Cook-Off

The Cottonfest BBQ Cook-Off will kicks off the celebration the first day at the RMB Regional Fairgrounds. Over a dozen Cook-off teams will fire-up their pits and grills with Beef Brisket, Spare Ribs, and Chicken. This is an IBCA sanctioned event with a guaranteed $10,000 payout. Entry fee is $200 per team, to register for the BBQ Cook-Off contact Wanda Russell at 361-933-5211.

Cottonfest Parade and Pageant

The Cottonfest Parade will be held Saturday, September 29th beginning at the corner of Matiana Ortiz Blvd. and Main Avenue in Robstown at 10 a.m. They will make their way down Main Avenue, ending at the Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay. To enter the Cottonfest Parade contact Wanda Russell at 361-933-5211.

See our city’s proud young women compete in this year’s Little Miss, Jr. Miss, and Miss Cottonfest at the Robstown High School Auditorium on December 1. The pageant takes place this year after the Cottonfest activities.

Contestants are judged on beauty, poise, personality, formal wear, sportswear and on-stage question.

LIVE Music

Cottonfest offers a variety of live music throughout the weekend in the Central Pavilion Arena! With an 80’s themed night on Friday which featured Metal Shop and Freeze Frame. On Saturday dance-goers enjoyed live Tejano music with Albert Zamora and Los Arias. With DJ PG in the mix both days and the world famous comedy special which featured Raymond Orta!
