About $2,000 and a DVR recorder were stolen from a business on South King Street Monday morning, according to police.

Police were dispatched to the business and made contact with the business owner who said after disarming the alarm system. He observed a unknown man walk out of the kitchen.

The owner yelled at the suspect, but he fled out the back door and ran west of the business.

According to the police report, the suspect gained access to the business when he threw a rock through the glass door on the east side of the building.

The case is being investigated.
