SAN DIEGO - First and second graders at Collins-Parr Elementary had the opportunity to participate in the San Diego Independent School District's Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) lab.

For the first day, students learned to be chemists. Second graders learned about chemistry with "a fun slime activity."

The STEM lab is a place for students to have hands-on learning where student can engage daily challenges that are geared toward STEM activities.
