Career criminal Rolando "Rolly" Hernandez was arrested Thursday after a chase with police.

Hernandez, 37, is wanted in connection with at least six burglaries in the City of Alice.

Alice police received a tip about Hernandez's whereabouts after posting his mugshot on social media.

Hernandez was found in the area of Carver and Escobar Streets, but ran from officers. Officer Jon Jaramillo observed Hernandez on Ferrel Street and Martin Luther King Road; Jaramillo ran after Hernandez and caught up to him on Rankin and Aransas.

According to police, Hernandez steals anything he can to make fast money in order to support his drug habit.

He is known to steal televisions to pawn. Hernandez takes wallets and use the cash or credit cards inside.

Police remind everyone to lock and secure personal items, lock car doors and leave nothing of value in plain view, and secure all weapons in a safe inside your home.

He was transported to the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office. He was charged with three felony warrants for burglary of a building, burglary of a habitation and credit card abuse. He was also charged with evading arrest with previous convictions.
