Good Morning South Texas Partners,      ...A Heat Advisory is in Effect for the Southern Coastal Bend This Afternoon...   Timing and Overview   The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will lead to dangerous heat index values across the southern Coastal Bend counties of Nueces and Kleberg. Heat index values will range from 110 to 114 degrees during the afternoon hours.  A Heat Advisory is in effect from 2 until 6 p.m. CDT this afternoon.     It will be hot across the remainder of South Texas today.  Afternoon heat index values will range from 105 to 109 degrees outside of the advisory area.    Impacts: Increased potential for heat related illnesses, including heat exhaustion and heat stroke Heat stroke is a potentially fatal condition Residents with outdoor activities should take frequent breaks, wear light color clothing (including a cap), and drink plenty of non-alcoholic beverages, preferably water.
