Tom Plumb, a fellow rotarian who spears the Hands to Honduras project presented Alice rotarians with an update on the 20th anniversary.
Thanks to several Rotary Clubs the villages in Honduras have had improvements to the water system and the school buildings.
The Silin water project include a new 5,000 gallon water tank, a waterline from the dam to the new water tank and a waterline from the new tank to the old tank. A local engineer volunteered to design the system that would meet the locals needs.
With the assistance of volunteers the children in the area had a new school built for them.
The next school project is for the children in Las Cabras who walk a long distance to get their education. It will be a one classroom school for approximately 25 children. A $2,6000 electrical project is also in the planning stage.
Plumb showed off his pictures of the projects. Plumb resides in Honduras during the project developments.
