Edinburg, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley continue to encounter combative illegal aliens.

On Saturday, Falfurrias agents encountered a group of illegal aliens attempting to circumvent the checkpoint. As the group was taken into custody, a 38 year-old Mexican national, began to swing his arms violently at one of the apprehending agents. The man was subdued and taken into custody.

On Monday, a McAllen agent encountered two illegal aliens attempting to conceal themselves in dense foliage near Mission, Texas. As the arresting agent gave commands to the subjects, the duo resisted and a struggle ensued. The agent sustained injuries to his shoulder and knee but was able to gain control of both subjects.

Hours later, an agent working near Los Ebanos, Texas, encountered a group of five illegal aliens attempting to hide in an abandoned house. As the agent was taking the group into custody, a 23 year-old Guatemalan man charged at the agent and struck him multiple times in the face. The agent was able to gain control of the man and placed him under arrest.

All subjects will be processed accordingly.
