RAMIREZ - Three individuals landed behind bars on Thursday after an early morning joint investigation discovered undocumented immigrants, weapons and more than $1,500.

The investigation between the Duval County Sheriff's Task Force, Duval Sheriff's Office, Hebbronville Border Patrol, Department of Public Safety Ranger Division and George West police executed the warrant at the Leo residence.

Robert Leo Jr., 62, and Irene Alvarez, 57, were charged with smuggling of persons, unlawful restraint and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Twenty-six-year-old Alexander Reyes-Quebo, from Houston, was charged with smuggling of persons.

All three suspects were transported to the Duval County jail.

The undocumented immigrants were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol.
