La Vida Buena Adult Daycare staff and clients held a Prize Bingo event to assist individuals and families in the community who are in need.

Clients had an opportunity to play in the Bingo by either paying for their cards or donating canned goods instead.

"This was from their hearts, they wanted to give back," said organizer Louise Woods with La Vida Buena. "These are people on a limited budget."

La Vida Buena staff and client collected hundreds non-perishable items such as water, noodle soups, green beans, corn, tomato sauce and other canned goods. The event was to support the Freedom from Hunger campaign.

The food was donated to the S.A.M.E Ministry, which serves local families.

"Freedom from Hunger is for the people who are in need...and we will continue to give to those in need in our community and surrounding areas," said Olga Acuna, with S.A.M.E. Ministry. "The ministry has been here for six years."
