A house fire on Pierce Street on June 9 left a family homeless. The family is asking for the community's assistance with donations to help them move into an apartment.
According to homeowner Melissa Casas, has been staying at a hotel as the local housing authority rushes her application to get her family into an apartment.
State Fire Marshals' recently determined the house fire was a result of arson, according to investigators.
Investigators have interviewed the owner and are looking into interviewing a person of interest related to the arson, but no arrests have been made.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
