Alice Mayor Jolene B. Vanover has issued a proclamation declaring the boundaries of the City of Alice as an area of disaster due to the recent weather consisting of heavy rain and severe flooding. In addition, Mayor Vanover and Jim Wells County Judge Pete Trevino have sent a request to Governor Greg Abbott asking that the City of Alice and Jim Wells County be declared as disaster areas and appropriate directives to deal with this emergency be deployed to our area.

If you are a resident within the City limits, and your home or business has suffered damage or loss you are encouraged to contact the City of Alice Hotline at 361-6687299 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

An Operator will intake your information which will be utilized to submit to the appropriate agency to determine if the City and its residents are eligible for Federal Disaster Assistance. You will need to provide your name, property address, and your best estimate of the damage.
