PREMONT - On Friday, 20 students dressed in red gowns and two students dressed in white gowns took the stage one last time as the graduating Class of 2018.

While the graduating class is a small one they are united and have fought their way through obstacles they faced as they attended Premont ISD.

Valedictorian Karilou Gonzalez and Salutatorian Maria Teresa Rodriguez Galvan addressed their fellow classmates reminding them that Premont taught them to overcome, to fight.

In Galvan's salutatorian address she told her classmates about her father who brought his family to the US in 2002. He worked hard to provide with only a grade school education. She reminded that what hard work and determination looks like.

Students took their diplomas, crossed their tassels and throw their caps into the air as they were ready to throw themselves into the world that awaited them.
