Anthony Andrew Amador was arrested at a local motel after police received an anonymous tip about suspicious activity.
Alice SWAT team breached the door of the upstair's room to find three children and two adults inside.
Narcotic investigators immediately detained Amador and began to search the motel room.
A rock of crack cocaine was found inside. Investigators also searched the couple's vehicle, but did not located any narcotics.
"The Alice Police Department's Narcotics Division with the assistance of the Jim Wells and Duval County Sheriff's Office, and the Central South Texas Criminal Investigation Unit executed a warrant at motel room number 26 after we received calls of suspicious activity," said Lt. Luis Barrera with the Alice PD. "A short investigation led us to the motel where we found approximately two grams of crack cocaine. We take all calls seriously and will continue the fight against drugs in our community including street level drugs."
Amador was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the JWC jail.
