Two teens were detained Tuesday night in connection with a structure fire on the 700 block of South Stadium.

Alice police and firefighters responded to the fire. Police were notified that there were two males, 16 and 15, seen walking away from the structure fire of a vacant home and walking west towards the creek area, according to police.

While firefighters extinguishing the fire, officers located the two male teenagers.

According to police, one teenager was found with a lighter and digital camera. The two teenagers were detained and transported to the Alice Police Department pending further investigation. A Criminal Investigator responded to the area to assist in the investigation.

Police were advised that the camera had photographic evidence of the male juveniles starting a fire within the vacant home, according to police.

Teenagers were charged with arson and transported to the San Patricio Juvenile Detention Center.
