Name: Ferrari Garcia
Parents: Lino and Sharon Garcia
My educational plans and future plans are to receive my Associates at Coastal Bend College in Alice Texas. After that, I plan on going to the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio Texas to get my Bachelors Degree.
Clubs and Officer Positions: I’m in AFJROTC (4 years), USASkills, NHS, Interact Club, and Student Council. I am the historian in Student Council.
Accomplishments/ Honors: I will be graduating in May 2018 from Coastal Bend College for Auto Mechanics. I also have a Distinguished Scholarship in the Career Category (2017).
The best advice that was given to me was from my father, “You are always going to have those people who like you and those who don’t. Ignore those that don’t like you or just have neutral respect for them.”
In five years I see myself in San Antonio working on my Bachelors Degree and interning at Six Flags while I am in school.
One thing I would change in the world would be people’s views on religion. This has been an ongoing issue in the world and I feel that everyone should have the freedom to choose which religion they feel is best for them. I do not think that we should try and change a person's view because we believe something is correct.
If I could invite three people to dinner I would invite Mary Lane, Alonzo Garza, and Ethan Espinoza. I would invite Mary Lane not only because she has a great personality, but she helped me come out of my shell. The second person I would have over for dinner would be my mechanics teacher Alonzo Garza. He has helped me receive my ASE Certificate within two years. I was behind by two years as well but with his patience and encouragement I caught up with my auto mechanics classes and now I will be graduating from Coastal Bend College this May.
Lastly, I would invite my best friend since elementary school Ethan Espinoza. He has always been there for me when I needed him the most. In Dubose, I went through a tough time when I lost my grandmother and he was there to cheer me up and listen. Ethan has always been the person to make sure I have a smile on my face no matter the situation. I am very grateful for these three people in my life.
