Cornerstone Church and its ministries - Alice Christian School and Good Foundations Learning Center had a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday for their new community basketball court.

The basketball court was only possible because members of the community and the church came together to turn this idea into reality.

Cornerstone Church and its ministries – Alice Christian School and Good Foundations Learning Center, thanks everyone who helped make this basketball court possible.

Wal-Mart provided a grant to begin construction on the basketball court as well as a donation of paint and labor for the lines on the court.

Newell Atkinson donated the sand for the court. Thank you also to Cornerstone Members and Alice Christian School families for their donations to this project.

Along with Cornerstone Church, Alice Christian School, a Kinder-12th grade school, and Good Foundations Learning Center, who provides care for 18 month and older children and offers a Pre-K class, will be able to utilize the basketball court.

The court is open to the public and encourage everyone to check out their Facebook page for upcoming events such as 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on May 5 and Sports Camp for kids on July 9-13.
